This area is part of the Great Florida Birding Trail and bird lovers
can spot many species of geese and duck, birds of prey such as hawks,
osprey, falcons, and owls, more common birds such as warblers, woodpeckers,
doves and mockingbirds, and the aquatic species -- sandpipers, gulls,
terns, herons, egrets, ibis, spoonbills, kingfishers, loons, pelicans
